Patrick

For those of you who don't know, Patrick is stationed at Diego Garcia in the middle of the Indian Ocean. He is very far from home and the time difference is significant. He is 10 hours ahead. It works out nicely with communication because when I am waking up in the morning he is going to bed and vice versa. The climate on the island is tropical and very hot. Hopefully I'll be able to get Pat to post here on the blog. We are still working on getting him a computer and internet access. Once that is done it will be much easier for him to keep in contact with everyone. For now, just keep e-mailing him.

It's never been hard for Pat to make friends. He's making the most of his time on the island and has made some friendships that I think will remain pretty strong. While on the island he will get to spend his leisure time boating, fishing and golfing....hey, life ain't so bad!

He's slated to come back to the states in April as long as everything goes well. Lucky for him that's when we're planning on getting married! So he'll make it back just in time to get hitched :) I can't wait to see him again and I'm sure there are many others who feel the same way.

For now, just keep him in your prayers and soon we'll have him back home safe and sound!
